Innovation Labs

Introducing Overlap’s Innovation Lab, a 12-month program—an innovative approach to organizational change that combines the power of design thinking with the science of behavior change.

Our program is based on the renowned behavior model developed by BJ Fogg, which has been proven to drive sustainable behavior change in individuals and organizations. We will work closely with your team to understand the specific challenges facing your organization and apply the Fogg model to create a customized behavior change plan.

Throughout the program, our experienced design and innovation consultants will guide your team through a series of workshops and co-creation sessions to design and test new solutions. We will use design thinking methods to uncover new insights, generate creative ideas, and prototype solutions that can be scaled and implemented within your organization.

In addition to the workshops and co-creation sessions, our program includes ongoing support and mentoring to ensure that the solutions we co-create are integrated into the organization's culture and processes. This support includes coaching on how to implement and measure the success of the solutions we co-create together.

At the end of the program, your organization will have a clear roadmap for innovation and behavior change, as well as the skills and knowledge to continue driving positive change within your organization. With our help, you will be able to tackle the toughest challenges and drive meaningful, sustainable change that benefits all stakeholders.

We will lead a series of workshops and co-creation sessions with your team to design and test new solutions.

We will use design thinking methods to uncover new insights, generate creative ideas, and prototype solutions that can be scaled and implemented within your organization.

Implementation And Measurement (Month 12)

We will provide ongoing support and mentoring to ensure that the solutions we co-create are integrated into the organization's culture and processes.

This support includes coaching on how to implement and measure the success of the solutions we co-create together.

Final Roadmap and Scorecard

At the end of the program, we will have developed, with you, an innovation roadmap that summarizes a clear roadmap for innovation and behavior change.

Testimonials

“We enlisted the services of Overlap over the past 5 years to assist us with our organizational strategic planning, patient-centred Digital Health Strategy, creation of an Innovation Lab and the alignment of our local partnerships. Our formal and informal leaders have received expert guidance and capacity building from the Overlap team grounded in a human-centred design approach. This approach has resulted in comprehensive engagement with patients, caregivers and staff to co-create and test innovative solutions to improve our organizational and local health care system.”

Lisa Bellon, Director Strategy & Improvement, Guelph General Hospital

“The Innovation Lab will immerse our people in the world of design thinking so they can grow their skills, work collaboratively and learn alongside experts. It will allow us to test things that would be harder or take longer from within. Working this way will help us make connections within and between the various pieces of work happening in the system – getting us to even better solutions.”

Helen Fishburn, Executive Director CMHA WW
